E-Mail is broken. How come you don't have Jabber? What kind of a geek are you?!
Your blog is awesome. Even if you aren't always right, you are always entertaining. And that's what I look for in rants :-) Keep it up!
@bug: I have Jabber but I don't advertise it. Email is good enough.
@Philip: Are you implying that I am SOMETIMES right? Awesome, that's news to me. Thanks for reading, I'll try to keep my blog monkey dances entertaining.
I was hoping to avoid your troubles with some of your westinghouse wisdom. I had a 32" lcd referb arrive not working. I managed to find a number off cnet to their corporate office, rather than cust. service, since I was getting nowhere fast with them.
A guy who I think is actually in HR gave me an RMA and fedex label to ship it on their dime. He told me to just email him the tracking number, and he'd ship the new tv.
The tv is on its way back, but I can't find this guy.
I their some magic email you found where I could send my rma number and fedex tracking number so they will send me my new one?
Tomorrow I am going to try my guy again. Didn't work yesterday, but I have his name. He should have never given me his name, cause now Im on him..
thanks, interesting blog by the way.
Sorry about your troubles. I don't know of any magic email address to make things go faster. Once you have someone's direct contact information you should be able to hound them until they help you. Threaten legal action or threaten to report them to various agencies, that worked for me.
Hey, you write your blog engine yourself using Lisp? That must be fun, compared to mine written in Python under restricted GAE environment...
Yep, it's fun. Python would be fun too. Doing it all yourself is more fun than playing with someone else's code.
Brian,
Just discovered your blog. Also, out of curiosity, took a peek at your profile.
What can I say?
Thanks, brother!
Love the Windows/Access/Office rants. I feel like I could have written them myself, but that would only prolong the agony.
Thought of your fetish when i saw this.
Thanks for putting effort into your blog(s)! I laughed when I saw you had also made the Final Fantasy Classic site...Natsukashii! I'll put you on my list of people to whom I owe a drink (beer/coffee) if we ever meet in person...
I love reading your blog. I appreciate the practical insight on all things Clojure and Emacs.
I'm also interested in Clojure. I've been using it at home for a half year or so now. I'm also interested in Emacs and use it for, in addition to Clojure, Ruby and Scheme.
So you are an Emacs / Swank / Slime user with Clojure. Judging from some of your older posts, it seems you also have some experience with Common LISP.
Have you configured Emacs to accommodate both Clojure and Common LISP in regards to Slime? Both use it and obviously if you just type M-x slime you get one or the other. Any insight in this area?
Thanks, Chad.
Cows are amazing!!! Clojure + Cow => I'm in heaven :D
