In about:config change view_source.editor.external to true and you can pick a "View Page Source" editor via view_source.editor.path. /usr/bin/gvim for example. Wish I'd have discovered that a couple years ago.

Wow! Excellent Tip! Doesn't seem to work for "View Selection Source" but still very nice. Thanks.
Heh, I never even knew you could View Selection Source. That looks handy. But yeah, it doesn't seem to be configurable.
Any opinion on vimperator?
I never tried vimperator actually. Still plan to someday though.
