In which border-radius is abused

I threw together a new blog layout today. I scaled back the level of cows a bit (just a bit, don't worry!) Criticism / feedback welcome. (IE-related feedback should be dropped off in the circular file by my desk.)

In what is surely a prelude to the future of the internets, I'm abusing border-radius pretty heavily in this layout. border-radius is likely to become the new marquee HTML tag or text-shadow CSS attribute: Maybe an OK idea at first, but then everyone uses it so much it makes your eyes bleed.

So I figured I'd best get my border-radiusing in early while it's still cool. IE8 users, you still get pointy corners. Sucks to be you.

Also, if you have any ideas for features I should implement for cow-blog, please let me know. I've been crawling the internet looking at blogs for ideas of things to implement and features to steal, but I'm running out of ideas. It does everything I want now, but I'm not a reader.

Which font? The main font? It's Verdana 9pt. You can't get any more standard.

I think S is talking about he title is he's not just messing. The title's font seems to be rendered slightly different in Chrome(5.0.3) then in Firefox(3.6.7). That might be what's causing S's cries of pain :)

border-radius is so awesome in Firefox. It's sort of lacking in Chrome. So much so that I am gouging my eyes out and sending you the bill.

Not sure what to suggest in terms of features to add. This is simple and beautiful, especially the blog banner. The only thing missing is more desktop screenshots and cats. We have had enough of your cows.

And adding comments in Firefox at least shows a blank page after "Submit". Then clicking on the banner to go back to the main page says "Comments added". Hmm...

Stephen: The titles use Century Gothic. I may be wrong in assuming everyone has that font. I'll have to check the fallback options more closely I guess. Or use one of those fancy newfangled CSS web font things.

CowReader: I am definitely noticing some Chrome-based crappiness myself now that I'm looking at it in Windows. My Linux Chrome is so screwed up that I don't expect any site to look better than ass. Not sure what to do about that other than feed Chrome pointy corners and crappy fonts. Kind of sad.

Firefox seems to be over-eager in caching pages, so that if you POST some data and the server sends back a "redirect" to the page you just left, Firefox seems to skip refreshing the page. Sometimes. Sometimes not. I haven't figured out this behavior yet. Other browsers don't do this.

(Reduction in cows is not a possibility at this juncture. Increase in screenshots/cats may be, however.)

Yes, I was referring to the title font, sorry for not making that clear. I think it looks OK in Chromium 5.0.375.99, but in Firefox 3.6.6, it feels like it hasn't been anti-aliased for something. It's probably something on my end, so I'll check my installed fonts.

Not really a fan of the rounded corners. I like the shadows on the edges though (and how they stand out against the background).

I think maybe the headings should be a color besides black.

Finally, the conspicuous lack of cows is distressing.

I run Arch Linux, and I'm not sure how to translate the first command. Anyway, I use bitmap fonts in the terminal, so that's not an option, is it? Also, Brian said the title's using Century Gothic, not Helvetica.
