Crap... I fixed them

I couldn't give up on my precious Grado SR-80s. Turns out the cable was only broken in three places; nothing a couple hours and a lot of electrical tape couldn't fix. Now I can't justify buying a replacement.

They really do sound amazing. If only they weren't so fragile and difficult to transport. And ugly, for that matter.

I've used my Grado SR-225 headphones for years as reference monitors to do sound mixing. I love the way they sound.

Good to see someone else has seen the Grado light. ;-)

Heh, I've noticed how fragile they are as well; I've changed the connector twice and re-soldered one of the earphones a couple of times. Can't understand why so expensive earphones must be so fragilef.
