December screenshot

Haven't posted one in a while. Gnome + Beryl, Buuf icons, MurrinaNeoGraphite GTK theme. I caught a window in mid-closing-animation, but I thought it looked neat so I left it.

What's that on the right side of the screenshot, which displays the computer statistics, weather, calendar etc.? I'd like to have it on my desktop as well. :)

Thanks! Now my desktop looks almost as beautiful as yours. :) (http://makaveli.nwps.ws/screenshots/kubuntu-05-12-2006.jpg)

This is little offtopic, but am I right that your check_mail.rb doesn't support IMAP-SSL? Can't think of any other reason why it doesn't work for me.

I'm glad someone found that stuff useful. :) Have a look at the Ruby docs for the IMAP module:

http://www.ruby-doc.org/core/classes/Net/IMAP.html#M004270

You can specify a parameter to the Net::IMAP.new call to make it use SSL. I've never tried it though.

Thanks, I got it working. Just had to apt-get libopenssl-ruby and add "993, true" to the script. :)
